How long is the Covid certificate valid?

​

The period of validity differs depending on whether your Covid certificate documents a Covid-19 vaccination, an illness or a negative test result. The period of validity may be adjusted based on new scientific findings.

Important: The information listed below is valid in Switzerland. Other countries may set different validity periods.

For vaccinated people

​

• 365 days from administration of the last dose of vaccination

​

For people who have recovered

​

• Validity begins on the 11th day after the positive test result and lasts 180 days from the test result

​

For people who tested negative

​

• PCR test: 72 hours from the time of sample collection

• Rapid antigen test: 48 hours from the time the sample was taken
